Pricing range

$28 – $65 per square foot

Concrete pavers are the affordable end. Full-thickness bluestone and intricate cut patterns run higher.

How it works

Our process

  1. Step 1

    Layout and pitch

    We mark the footprint and set elevations so water runs away from the house.

  2. Step 2

    Excavate and compact

    Eight to twelve inches of base material, compacted in lifts for frost resistance.

  3. Step 3

    Set the surface

    Stone or pavers laid to pattern, cut clean at borders, and leveled course by course.

  4. Step 4

    Joint and finish

    Joints filled, surface compacted or sealed, and surrounding lawn and beds restored.

What patio material holds up best around Boston?

Full-thickness bluestone and granite handle freeze-thaw and salt best. Quality concrete pavers are close behind at a lower cost.

Will my patio sink or heave?

Not with the right base. Heaving comes from shallow base depth, poor compaction, or trapped water, all of which we address during excavation.

Can you build over an existing concrete slab?

Sometimes. If the slab is sound and drains, we can overlay it with mortar-set stone. Cracked or sunken slabs should come out.

How long does a patio take to install?

Most residential patios take three to seven working days depending on size, access, and drainage work.

Do you need to reseed the lawn afterward?

We restore disturbed edges with loam and seed as part of cleanup, and coordinate with your landscaper on larger projects.
