Are foundation cracks always serious?

No. Hairline vertical cracks are common and often cosmetic. Stair-step, horizontal, or widening cracks need evaluation, and we will tell you when an engineer should be involved.

What is parging?

A thin cement coat applied over stone or block that seals the surface, evens the appearance, and slows water penetration.
